Customer Service Rep

Service Representative will play a vital role in ensuring seamless customer interactions, providing timely support, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves handling customer inquiries, troubleshooting basic technical issues, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers within our mini-grid communities. As part of our Customer Experience team, you will collaborate closely with engineering, technical, and operations teams to resolve customer concerns efficiently and enhance overall service delivery.

 Key Responsibilities

Support other operational tasks as assigned by the Head of Customer Support.

Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and customer inquiries professionally.

Provide accurate and timely information about Havenhill’s energy services to new and existing customers.

Assist the engineering and operations team by offering post-installation support via phone and email.

Follow up on technical issues reported by customers and work closely with the engineering operations team to ensure swift resolution.

Educate customers on energy usage, troubleshoot minor system issues, and guide them on payment processes.

Record and track customer complaints using the designated software, escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

Fluency in Hausa is required to effectively communicate with customers in our mini-grid communities.

1 – 3 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related role (experience in the renewable energy or utility sector is a plus).

Strong verbal and written communication skills – clear, concise, and customer-friendly.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to quickly learn new technologies and troubleshoot minor customer issues.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
